Island for the Kitchen
We have a small table in the kitchen that we eat from. Problem is that you can barely see over the counter tops to watch TV. So 95% of the time we end up eating off TV trays in the Den. My bride had a great idea. If we replaced the table with an Island and some stools, we could see the TV no problem and it gave her a bit more storage. Click on any photo for a larger image
All project start out small. Glue up and lots of small pieces. 
Here are a couple of during photos. I am not going into a lot detail since the constuction is pretty basic frame and panel. 
I picked up a maple bench top from a local factory at the salvage store. It was much cheaper than I could build one for but it was going to require some work to be usable. 
Finished project installed in the Kitchen.
